Landscape Mitigation and Environmental Care: Photovoltaics as a Sustainable Choice
Investing in photovoltaics means much more than just producing clean energy. It means taking care of the land, integrating installations with the surrounding landscape, and contributing to its enhancement.
A 1 MW (1000 kW) photovoltaic system prevents the emission of approximately 600 tons of CO₂ each year—the equivalent of planting 30,000 trees. But sustainability is not just about numbers; it is a concrete commitment to the environment and the community.
In our approach, landscape mitigation is a fundamental element. In our plants:
• We respect and integrate nature: In some installations, we have created olive groves within the photovoltaic area, maintaining a balance between energy production and biodiversity.
• We use green mitigation zones: Vegetation is planted along the perimeter of the installations using native species to ensure harmonious integration with the environment and reduce visual impact.
